Meet Our Team

Gott Caulking Company started in 1960 when my father, Lanny Gott, was a young man.  He relocated to Dayton, OH seeking employment as a concrete patcher.  One day he was invited to go to lunch with the caulking crew and the rest is history so to speak, Gott Caulking became a business a few years later.  I grew up learning the business from all sides, watching my father work in the field and my mom run the office from our home.  At the age of 12, I recall beginning to understand the drawings on his desk and learn about the trade.  By the time I was in my 20’s I possessed a good working knowledge of drawings, what happened at a job site, and how to estimate the work.  I decided to pursue other career opportunities for a while so I stepped away from the business to become a firefighter.  I married my high school sweetheart and we had 3 beautiful daughters.  In 1999, I joined the business part-time working as a field supervisor, caulker, and helped with estimating.  I went full time with the company in 2002 and purchased the company from my father when he retired in 2015, becoming owner/president.  I love what I do and enjoy the work and people I get to work with. I’ve met many people along the way, many becoming personal friends and long term clients.  When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, 3 daughters and sons-in-law, 8 grandchildren, and our 2 dogs.  I am an outdoor enthusiast.  I love hunting, fishing, and ATV trail riding.
